China Trade Shows

China?s Way – China Trade shows

Let out that Chinese tongue. China is world renowned for its trading capabilities be it their government or individual Chinese citizens. Trading means a lot to any ordinary Chinese ? they make anything worth selling. And what better way to sell and buy than in trade shows. China trade shows are in hundreds annually. Just name an industry and there are China trade shows for that.

Are you into shoes? Well, the Guangzhou Shoe Fair is China?s newest independent footwear industry. This fair is China?s premier and has an international attendance showcasing all types of shoes in the latest styles, leather goods and accessories. This fair was opened to the public from October 14-19, 2006 and was organized by Donnor Exhibition Company Limited.

In the forefront of China trade shows is the Chinese Export Commodities Fair also known as the Canton Fair. It held its 100th session on Oct. 15-20 and 25-30. This session is held in Guangzhou, Southern China with an estimated number of attendees at 190,000. The fair?s turnover was projected to be US$32 billion. More than 7,000 exhibitors will gather together in each phase of the show where visitors from other continents can sit down to discuss and negotiate business possibilities of expansion with the help of Chinese suppliers and manufacturers.

China trade shows have been proven to promote they country?s various industries. The International Computer Communication and Consumer Electronic Products Exposition held its sixth expo on Oct. 17-20, 2006 featuring product display, business negotiation, academic seminar, investment negotiation and technological cooperation. For this year, a ?buyer?s zone? was set up that showcased samples and related information of products the market demanded. But more than that, the fair actually presented China?s capability in terms of computer and electronics products.

Another one of the most successful China trade shows is the largest fair for the textile industry ? the China International Textile Machinery Exhibition that pulls off on Oct. 17-21, 2006. The fair had its maiden exhibition in 1988 and is now fast becoming the most influential and established professional textile machinery exhibition in China. The fair already earned the respect of the global industry as a vital way in understanding and on how to enter China?s textile market. In CITME, 1,100 exhibitors from 25 counties and regions are expected to assemble together utilizing all 62,000-exhibition space of the China International Exhibition Center. Polls showed that 90% of the 35,585 registered international trade visitors were satisfied with the fair.

Now if that?s not reason enough to do business with China, who knows what is? Hit it in China trade shows!

Art Museums Still Manage To Move The Masses

Art Museums still manage to move the Masses

With around 65 museums, it’s no wonder that it is quite difficult to narrow down the choices and select the San Francisco museum that you absolutely must visit while vacationing here. The good news is that it is quite possible to narrow down the choices according to your personal preferences. Museums are a great way to discover the history, the art, and the future of a city. If that city gives a great amount of effort into building great places of learning about the art, music, history, and future of said city, then that city has a bright future ahead of it.

Art is something that is becoming more and more often overlooked as budget cuts hit school curriculums and great emphasis is placed on learning specific facts and details rather than the learning process, but art is a vitally important component of societal development. Think about it, the one thing that survives the generations of old and appears in museum today is most often art of some sort. Art is a way of expressing who we are, what we dream, and where we hope we are going. If we take the art from our lives, we are stifling our societies and risking our progeny.

In case you haven’t guessed, I’m a little passionate about art and feel that art museums are an integral component not only of preserving our pasts but also of insuring our futures. The first art museum I would like to mention is of particular interest here because not only does it showcases artists that are local to the San Francisco area but it also deals with visual arts, performing arts, and film and video. The name of this museum is: Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and I seriously recommend that you take a moment or two out of your busy vacation time be devoted to taking a look around this great center for visual and performing arts.

Art comes in many shapes and sizes and few places showcase it as well as the de Young Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco. From painting to sculptures to quilts this museum offers some fantastic collections of art as well as offering excellent exhibitions that rotate throughout the year. Give your senses a feast of color, light, and texture by visiting the de Young.

If you have the time, you really should check out The Diego Rivera Mural Project. This project is about the necessity of blending all of the cultures and histories that make Americans American into one unified work of art. By using the historical artistic styles of the Indian, the Eskimo, and the Mexican and blending them a style will emerge that is Pan American Unity. While some may find the ideals behind it a bit lofty (I find them applaudable), it is impossible to deny that the mural itself is an impressive work of art. While this is not a museum, I really feel that this is an important work of art that is definitely worth mentioning.

Whether you have a deep and abiding passion for art or not, it’s hard to deny the power that art has to move and inspire people. For that reason alone I think it is important that we try to cultivate a love of art or at the very least an education about art within our children, museum exhibits are an excellent method of achieving that goal.

Ice Cream Trade Shows

Ice Cream Trade Shows

In 2004 production of ice cream and other similar frozen products in the United States reached approximately 1.6 billion gallons equaling to about 21.5 quarts consumption per person, with five top different flavors that shared a slice of being ?favorites? namely vanilla, chocolate, Neapolitan, strawberry, and cookies and cream. That same year, ice cream sales in the U.S. attained 21.4 billion dollars, with $8.1billion being on household consumption and $13.3 billion on ?outside of home? consumptions such as scoop shops, food service, and other retail stores.

These figures show how big the ice cream industry has become, not just in the United States but around the globe as well. All throughout ice cream ?history?, there?s always someone somewhere coming up with their own ice cream specialty, creating ice cream manufacturing industries with their own flavors and styles. The fact is, ice cream is virtually global, and anyone who?s everyone loves ice cream, from seniors down to babies.

Ice cream trade shows are probably the most ?delicious? gathering of manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and consumers of ice cream products, coming together in one place and sharing the same focus, goals, and interest. Ice cream trade shows generally have free sampling of the latest ice cream flavors from small manufacturers to the bigger ice cream companies, even homemade ice cream products. Ice cream trade shows also provide every thing that has something to do with ice cream, including ice cream making machines, newest ideas and innovations in the ice cream industry, and ice cream shops and parlors participating.

Ice Cream trade shows are good marketing strategies to keep the ice cream consumers keyed up with new products and developments in the ice cream industry, as well as for manufacturers, dealers, and retailers to further enhance their businesses and open up opportunities for future expansion and success.

Ice cream has become so loved that in the United States, the former President Reagan voted July as National Ice Cream Month and the third Sunday of the month to be National Ice Cream Day, recognizing ice cream as a nutritious and fun food enjoyed by ninety percent of the population, generating both revenues and jobs.

Other countries have gained their own ?know-how? on the ice cream business and have favorably positioned themselves in the global ice cream industry as well, but whether it?s just a local hometown ice cream industry or an international ice cream industry, they are generating their own share of profits in the business.

In the midst of the busy city of Tokyo, flowers are blossoming in Makuhari Messe. From its maiden expo, IFEX became Japan?s biggest flower and gardening trade shows in Japan. As a welcome to the Spring blossoms, the industry?s professionals will converge for the Spring Florists Event International 2007 in the ICC Birmingham. Floral trade shows, like the SFE 07, seeks to provide highest services for UK?s floriculture industry by giving them an edge in the global market and opportunities for their worldwide base of clients.

08 Houston Museum Of Natural Science Went Viral

Houston Museum of Natural Science Went Viral

The Houston Museum of Natural Science (HMNS) was one chosen to showcase the world-famous Exhibition for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. HMNS quickly realized that while the exhibit was expected to generate a great deal of interest, it didn?t have a lot of appeal for their core audience. The success of the exhibition, therefore, would rest in how it was marketed.

The Houston Museum of Natural Science quickly called in Spur Digital to help reach the targeted demographic audience and generate interest in the Exhibit. HMNS was, also, hoping to acquire new patrons and members to further their future revenue.

Spur digital worked with HMNS to identify the target market for the campaign and developed an integrated online media plan to reach those audiences. The campaign featured an online contest that was marketed through targeted online media outlets including relevant Web sites, Search Engines and third party E-mail lists. Viral marketing was an important component of the campaign, so Spur developed an innovative strategy to get people to refer their friends.

Spur identified the target audience as males 18 to 34 years old who were fans of action and fantasy films, frequent video game players and movie renters, tech-savvy who generally didn?t hang out at museums. Based on this information, Spur chose search engine advertisements that would accompany specific search words, dedicated e-mail advertisements, sponsored e-mail advertisements, banner ads on web sites targeted toward the desired audience, and e-mails to the HMNS list.

Did it work? You bet! The results were excellent. The impact of the viral marketing effort was astounding – over 23% of registrants came originated from the Tell-A-Friend feature. The direct marketing efforts yielded impressive results as well. In total, the 12 week, locally-targeted online campaign yielded more than 2 million targeted impressions, 40,000 unique visits, almost 12,000 and 6,000 invitations sent by friends at a cost per action of less than $3.00. These contributed to the record attendance of almost 100,000 over 3 months.
